With our lupus support group going from strength to strength this last couple of years and growing in numbers as more newly diagnosed patients join us. We have decided to apply for a grant from a Brighton charity called People Can Do Health. This charity  funds and supports community projects, like ours, that improve people’s health and well being. We believe in offering help and support to people with lupus and related conditions, so that they can be empowered to manage their own condition.

Mel, Laura , Harsha and I have put together an application form for a grant to fund the following things for our support group:

• an outing to promote health and wellbeing
• a website for the group
• a theatre trip
• a Christmas meal
• costs towards welcoming new members
• administration costs.
